JEE
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is one of the most prestigious and competitive entrance examinations conducted in India for admission to undergraduate engineering programs at renowned institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other centrally-funded technical institutions. JEE is divided into two main components: JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
JEE Main: This is the first stage of the examination and is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). JEE Main is held multiple times a year, providing candidates with the opportunity to improve their scores. It serves as a gateway for admission to various undergraduate engineering programs across India, including those offered by NITs, IIITs, and other participating institutions. The examination primarily assesses candidates' understanding of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
JEE Advanced: Only candidates who qualify JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced is conducted by one of the IITs on a rotational basis. It is considered one of the toughest engineering entrance examinations in the world. Admission to the prestigious IITs and certain other top-tier engineering institutions is based on a candidate's performance in JEE Advanced.
